Jase and Ange Fiddes are the visionary founders and directors of Upward Christian Prep — a groundbreaking program transforming how young women in Australia and New Zealand prepare for high performance basketball and life beyond the court.
Married for over 20 years and parents to three teenage children, Jase and Ange have spent their lives serving their community both locally and nationally. Together, they’ve delivered countless youth programs, leadership camps, and wellbeing initiatives — building a legacy of purpose-driven education and sport that now stretches from Brisbane to the United States.
A respected career counsellor and mentor to professional athletes, Jase has worked with the National Rugby League, Brisbane Broncos, New Zealand Warriors, Basketball Queensland, local government, and industry schools across Australia. His background as a former Pastor in the Church of the Nazarene and Baptist Union of Australia adds a rare depth to his work — blending faith, career counselling, and performance coaching to help athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field.
With over 30 years of experience in Basketball, Jase and Ange have led Upward to become one of the fastest-growing female basketball programs in the country. Their student-athletes have competed across multiple U.S. tours, connected with college coaches, and received offers with some worth more than $300,000AUD over four years.
At Upward Christian Prep, students will be supported by a team of qualified mentors, educators, and coaches, every Upward student is prepared not only for the next step in basketball, but for a life of purpose, resilience, and independence.
The Upward vision is simple but powerful: to prepare young women for a purpose — on and off the court.
