Education

At Upward, we know athletic talent may open doors—but academics keep them open. Traditional schooling doesn’t suit every student-athlete, so we offer a structured, supportive, and flexible environment, designed for those chasing both performance and purpose.

Students will complete their studies by distance education, through our partner Riverside Christian College, earning QCE points or an ATAR. Post-grad students can enrol in an online Tertiary Prep Course to build confidence and readiness for tertiary study, or diploma/degree courses at their preferred university.

Daily Study Hall sessions keep books and ball in balance, with a Study Coach providing guidance, accountability, and support.

Beyond academics, regular Life101 Workshops build leadership, resilience, communication, and life skills—so students are prepared not just for college, but for life.

At Upward, education stays connected to purpose. We don’t just help you stay eligible—we help you stay ready.

The College Readiness Program

Our College Readiness Program is built for serious student-athletes who want more than basketball—they want a future. We help young women step confidently into college life by developing them academically, athletically, and personally.

Life Skills: Learn to manage life like a college student—cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and dorm routines.
Academic Accountability: Build strong study habits through structured Study Hall, organisation skills, and progress tracking.
Basketball Development: Train through skill sessions, strength and conditioning, IQ building, and film study.
Recruitment Support: Get hands-on help with academic eligibility, recruitment strategy, athlete CVs, and highlight reels.

Although we cannot guarantee scholarships, we will provide our students with college basketball consulting services until a successful placement.

We don’t just prepare you to go to college—we prepare you to thrive there and graduate with purpose.
